Target based specific focus workout of strength for either upper or lower body muscles along with cardio. Every class will focus on different muscle groups. Modifications and substitutions for all fitness levels. Classes may include Tabata style or focus on a given number of repetitions. Overall, class focuses on mostly body weight strength and endurance. Miss Aly Fabiaschi and Miss Sherry Grech, Dance Instructors Classes will run consecutively from September 2019 - June 2020  If there is no school or an early dismissal due to bad weather or a holiday, there will be no dance classes on Tuesdays.  Call Miss Aly if in question. You’ll also be notified via email by Burlington Parks and Recreation Department. If there is no school or a delay due to bad weather or a holiday, there will be no dance classes on Fridays.  Call Miss Sherry if in question. Parents will also be notified via email from the Parks and Recreation Department Parent/person picking up dancers must come inside and sign out their child out of each class. Children cannot wait outside for pickups. Please be prompt for class arrival and departure. If you have an emergency and are not able to pick up on time please call Miss Sherry or Miss Aly.  If student will not be attending class please call Miss Sherry or Miss Aly. Sorry, no observers while classes are in session.  It is a distraction for students and instructor. You are more than welcome to wait in the hallway. DRESS REHEARSAL and PERFORMANCE will be held in June (tentative date) at Lewis S. Mills High School Auditorium. All students enrolled will be performing. Costumes are required for students to perform for each class.  The total cost will be approximately $65.00-$75.00 per costume.  A non-refundable costume deposit of $60.00 is due by November 30th. Balance due by January 30, 2020. Please make checks payable to Miss Sherry’s Dance and Fitness Links, P.O. Box 722, Torrington, Ct 06790 with student’s name and day and time of class on checks. ATTIRE- Students must wear dance attire and appropriate shoes for class.  Please wear a biketard or leotard (no attached skirt), stretchy shorts or leggings and bare feet.  Please, no ballet skirts or street clothes. Black tap shoes and pink ballet slippers required for combo class by week 5.  Hair should be pulled back securely in bun, pony or a braid away from face. Instructor:  Kelly ThompsonKelly looks forward to meeting and motivating you and making this a fun and rewarding experience! Target based specific focus workout of strength for either upper or lower body muscles along with cardio. Every class will focus on different muscle groups. Modifications and substitutions for all fitness levels. Classes may include Tabata style or focus on a given number of repetitions. Overall, class focuses on mostly body weight strength and endurance. Recommended:  comfortable workout attire, sneakers, water bottle and small towel.Optional:  mat, workout gloves and light weights.

6:15 PM - 7:15 PM    Toning and Shaping & Total Body Fitness - Toning and Shaping - Mondays
Instructor - Susan Coffey Toning and Shaping All age's non-aerobic workout is set to a wide assortment of music Complete body workout utilizes both major and smaller muscle groups to develop tone, definition, flexibility and strength Class segments include combination of stretching, body sculpting, yoga, Pilates and weight training Exercise mat or towel and hand weights are recommended. Total Body Fitness Includes warm-up, toning, stretching, weight training and cardiovascular routines Continuous movement combined with wide variety of music is fun for all Cardio segments incorporate moves especially designed for all ages and fitness and intensity levels Have fun, burn calories and reduce stress while you tone and tighten Exercise mat or towel and hand weights are recommended. Classes will be held in either the Town Hall Auditorium or Senior Center depending on schedule.
